The he will def thank your for a track pump- I've inflated car tyres with a track pump (high volume low pressure tyre) and bike tyres with a car pump (low volume high pressure tyre) and neither was fun.
Best to match the pump to the task- it took forever to get 36 psi in teh car tyre with my Renkompressor, and I simply couldn't get a high pressrue in the bike tyre with the car pump.
