Murts - question for you - how hard it is to verify the waterproofness of the modified Seikos?

If all goes well I'll have purchased a new beater watch by the end of the day... :]

you "could" get it pressure tested.
as long as all the gaskets/seals are good, there shouldn't be a real need (unless your diving :) -

That is what I would want to do. OK. Just checking.
Fancy pintage later?

I meant serious diving not just 30/50 metres.
when I built mine, I got it serviced and tested, supposed to be a 150m watch, nut because of the crystal, they took it to 250m, and I can't even swim.when you do mod one, you are not even touching the seals, only opening up the back of the case, the seal stays in place.

who's got a seiko blue spark they want to sell me?
-
• #3367
Great looks but I can't swallow those prices for quartz! The chrono is £500 or something... bonkers. Maybe it doesn't matter though when they're so damn sexy. Bit graphic-designery mind.

They've got SP written all over them! ;]

with a leather strap there is something very dignified and honest about this watch
my friend just sent me these pictures , sorry about the quality. he didnt take out the ones he said were not for sale so all but maybe two are not available. i will take better pics myself tomorrow. he is not a watch dealer these are just copies that he has picked up for himself in thailand and other places over the course of the last ten years.
Did you get any better pics and prices, quite interested if I could work out what they were...

^^^^^ nice watches Coppi, the top two are kinda Braun-esque
I had an AW22 but it was a bit... dunno. I think because it was proportioned so perfectly and it was so clean, it became a bit characterless.
