have you ridden the bike yet?
with your platform pedals, when cornering you have an increase likelihood of hitting the pedal with the tarmac.
the road pedals tend to be narrower - less chance.

funniest thing I've read in a while.
Tell me, how did you used to stop on a brakkless BMX?
And how fast do you think you were going?
brakeless BMX is pretty normal mate...

He wasn't saying it's not, he was asking how can he translate the way he used to stop on a brakeless BMX to a brakeless fixie skidder.

...shit. I'm starting to think like Ed. Is this possible?
Rotate bars up and it's a lovely bike.
Agreed. Shifter position is ok but the bars are way, way off.

Yes it is, but it's all at completely different speeds.

How is the singular? I loved riding that bike.
Good Sean, been really enjoying riding it. It's pretty much in the same guise as it left you, running fixed/Single. Seriously considering gearing it up for some longer touring now though. Compared to loading up my Roberts road bike, its much more practical for my needs.

That look awesome! scott's bag?
-
• #50139
Yep, Scott's Bags. They are ace! I prefer the feature of the exterior elastic webbing which his newer Saddlebag didn't have.
As you can see here, the Frame bag doesn't fit (as it was for his Brooklyn) handy as it is to have room for waterbottles, etc, i'm thinking if I get a Revelate "tangle" it would fill in the gap.

Last photo. It's about as finished as it's going to get. I can see a new saddle on the horizon but for now, I think it's done.
Quick test ride and it was quite comfy. More adjusting to be done, but it's not far off.

I couldn't help myself and bought these wheels off here (thanks dbr) as they match the color of the Alan perfectly. Going to build it up with Super Record, just have to polish the lugs and buy some decals.

Looking good. I was planning to gear it up myself for a mountainous tour in india. A very versatile frame.

Because you might die from your choice of bicycle.
fuck off. i don't care if a brakless fixie-skidder harms themself it's being taken out by one of the cunts cos they can't stop that bothers me.

Yeah this, on a BMX you're travelling alot slower, your feet aren't attached to the pedals and you can stop pedalling... what I was getting at was try taking a foot off and jamming in yer back wheel while pedalling with the other... am sure someone somewhere can do it, but I couldn't.

Yes it is, but it's all at completely different speeds.
I also find myself agreeing with scoble a little too often these days...
