Just been down to the courts in heaton - smaller than elswick and jesmond - also a no tabs and alcohol sign - don't think its worth playing there on sunday.
Got stopped by the polis on ma way home from polo - expected some hassle for riding on pavement with no lights etc .... But not so ... Nice mr bizzy just wanted to make sure i was the owner cos there have been so many bike thefts lately and my bike looked expensive !!!

Yeah I had a knock about at Fee's courts in July but they're far too small for a match and the fencing is raised in some places so the ball would roll out often anyway. Shame though because they're right near my flat.

Okay, not looking like we are getting enough teams for the league thing at the moment but if you are interested Glasgow's looking to host a tourney with Edinburgh and yourselves again. The S.H.I.T part two. Provisional date of October the 8th. In?

Yeah, we're in in some capacity. A combination of piss-poor organisational skills, polo politics and a persistent lack of court that you'd want to invite anyone else to are hampering things. Having said that, we've got enough keen people for two teams. Putting a date on it definitely helps. Are any scots going to Bristol?
By the way, for those that weren't there last night, we practically got chased off the Elswick courts by hundreds of feral children. Embarrassing and depressing. No-one's got much appetite for going back there. Take it you made it out ok then Luke...?

I know I'm a pain in the arse but would it be cool for at least one of you to sign up on the glasgow fixed gear forum as a newcastle go between for this? I'll keep posting in here either way.

Don't know about edinburgh but I don't think any glasgow players are going to bristol. Need to keep our eyes on this stuff more, bike polo died off for ages in glasgow and has only really picked back up in the last 6 months. Next year we will be hitting up more tourneys.

Yes that's exactly what I did Matt, thanks for asking.
Shame you forgot to mention in the interview about Tristan shouting at the eight year-olds then getting red arsed by a football then having a tantrum about how Heaton and Jesmond are "much nicer areas where people have some manners!" - best polo moment ever.
what the fuck is getting red-arsed?
sounds like something you'd do for money
-
• #1865

-
• #1872
Gosforth i reckon - can be there before 4 if anyone else fancies an earlier start
-
• #1873
il be there from 2 30 onwards
-
• #1874
230 ish good for me.

• #1875
2.30 then - chinese dentist time
I'm back from Leeds and up for polo tomorrow from 5pm. If anyone else is coming down early don't forget your pocket money for the £3.50 special. What's the verdict on playing at Edmund's Elswick Danger Court rather than Gosforth? I'm not really sure what this league thing is but we could be the A+ team if you want John.
