but what about track nuts? seeing as this is londonsfixedgearsandsingularspeeds and many of said fixedgearsandsingularspeeds do not have skewers that can be replaced with more secure options?

Pitlock do special track nuts, but they're very expensive, and only fit 10mm axles, and (now corrected) our more common 9mm fronts.
