  • I personally don't believe in those skewer hublocks. My friend bought a bike off gumtree which had that on the front wheel and the seller did not provide the key (So much for buying a bike form gumtree). And I used a cheap cordless drill that loosened the skewer in less than 10 seconds. So you know, Waste of investment in my eyes. Better off buying a decent lock and lock up the wheels to your frame or something.

    Obviously you need to be carrying a cordless drill about with you if your a thief but why bother going for the hard option when there are so many bikes out there locked up, with a front wheel that have a quick release skewer but isn't secured. My pitlock as secured my front wheel for nigh on two years without anyone interfering with it
