Due to excellent feedback from Evil Rabbit, I have moved the Krabus XL303 from this list, and moved it to the Secondary Locks thread list. At one kilogram, it cant pretend to be as solid as similar locks, that weigh twice as much, and don't even have an alarm fitted.

And just to further substantiate that, I borrowed some vernier calipers tonight and my suspicions are correct. The shackle is 17mm thick only with the rubber; 14mm bare.
With the alarm it is a good second lock option, just not a primary.
