are you wanting to polihs it again? If so take it to a local welders/fab shop and ask there advice, they may be able to run some weld into the cracks then you/they can sand it down from 120-2000 grit paper then buff it and should be as new

That's pretty crappy service... you should ask for a partial refund or neg them. I sell on ebay and I wouldn't treat anyone like that.

sand paper, then wet and dry, then autosol

Thank you all for your advice!
I finally found some time to work on the stem. I went to my local welders shop and they said that they could repair it, but it was a bit pricy for me. So I took my files and sandpapers and started to mess around. Luckaly all went better than I expected. Now it looks like new. Only if you look really carefully at the bolt you can see that edge next to the bolt is uneaven. Its also a bit flat in that area but it's unnoticeable unless you touch it. I just need to remove some small scratches I missed and buff it up again.

Thanks guys! I polished with Simichrome. Its hard work and kind of addictive, so right now I'm polishing every aluminium part I have on my bike :/

I need ideas and suggestions on how to repair these really deep scratches. Pictures: http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/15077285/1/Rossin%20stem?h=03c076
The one next to the bolt is atleast 1mm deep and the other is 0,5mm I think.
I dont know how they got there because I bought this Rossin Pista from eBay and the seller did not mention these scratches and the photos where taken at a certain angle so that you could not notice the scratches.
I appreciate any help you can give me!
