Not exactly the same than those chinese frames. I know that tons of bike ( like Colossi, Cinelli, Merckx,... ) are produced in China. This prototype have better and differet details than the generic.
After some research, it seems more to be a COBRA ( -> http://www.euroasiaimports.net/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=16909&idcategory=2205 ) but with some special difference on the drop outs and on the fork. The fork is full carbon and not a mix alu/carbon like on all generic frames.
The flakes of the carbon are also verry verry smaller than the generic chinese ones.
The men who worked on this project a few yaers ago at the former Merckx factory don't work there anymore at the Merckx, so nobody into the current Project Management Service at Merckx can tell me all the story about this frame.
