I never really made it porn worthy enough when I dug it out at the beginning of the year, just stuck some navigators on and rode it. It's now in a box stripped down to frame and forks but I'll try and do it justice with better pics.

What are the gussets made of? What's the weight? Can I deal with the missus if I bring another bike into the house? How much debt can I comfortably live with?

I'll be completely honest, I don't know what the gusset's are made of. I was told all the technical stuff by the bloke who imported the bike for me but I was seventeen years old old at the time and it went in one ear and out the other, I just thought the bike was damn sexy. Eighteen years later I'll be buggered if I can remember. And being completely non frame techy I probably couldn't tell by looking/flicking whatever...
I've forgotten everything about the framebuilders too, I vaguely remember them being based outside Paris but even then I'm not too sure about that. I've been trying to locate them online but Google isn't helping much either.
As to whether you could live with the missus, if she's anything like mine then probably not (it was touch and go when I bought the bike that replaced this one back in May), but it will definitely be worth it. It's all about priorities. You could always get another missus...
More pics tonight I promise. I'm not likely to get home till after dark so the pics probably won't be porn worthy (not on my dining room table under a 60w bulb) but they'll give you an idea of some of the detail.

God damn that is pretty

Some detail pics showing finish and minor chips to paintwork/blemishes. There is one larger chip on the inside of the chain stay which I had forgotten about when I originally posted, but this is concealed when the wheel is in.
The blue paint is actually slightly deeper than that, and more 'glittery'. If there's some sun tomorrow I should be able to take a pic that does it justice.
It started raining so I went in before I could take a photo of the complete frame, I'll post one tomorrow.
Gusset detail
Some minor corrosion in BB shell but threads all sound. There is a barely visible hair's width scratch in the varnish on the gusset that should easily polish out.
Rear seat stay/post clamp detail
This is beautiful imo
Down tube
Damage to laser cut stickers
BB Underside
Minor chips plus larger chip on inside of chain stay - not visible with wheel in. -

damnnnnnnnn i want
Hello all,
58cm Tomahawk Columbus SLX track frame for sale.
Frame, forks and Campag Record headset only.
Excuse the rubbish picture, it was taken on my phone. I'll take some better ones with a bit more detail when I get home later and post them up tonight.
Some more pics here: http://www.lfgss.com/post2080416-46049.html & here: http://www.lfgss.com/post2080744-46064.html Not brilliant but they give you an idea.
I had this frame custom made for me in France in 1994 and rode it to a bronze medal in the national junior sprint championships that year behind James Taylor and Chris Hoy.
It was made with a very high bottom bracket for clearance on steep tracks and a forward sloping top tube. It has a short wheelbase due to the curved seat tube and is extremely stiff. She is, if I do say so myself, a thing of beauty.
This frame is completely unique and a fantastic piece of workmanship, there isn't another one like it in the world.
It's been in storage since '96 until this year when I rode it at some of the early Herne Hill track league meetings this year and she still rides like a dream.
No dents, dings or scratches, never been crashed. Some very minor cosmetic wear to paintwork and the lazer cut stickers are slightly damaged in places. The metallic blue paint job really needs to be seen in the flesh as photos don't really do it justice
English BB, 27.2mm seatpost.
As you can imagine, this is a reluctant sale as the bike does hold considerable sentimental value for me, but I'm moving house soon and need to clear out old stuff and make some space.
SOLD
Cash & Collection from Forest Hill, SE23. Postage at cost considered.
I'll also be at the Back in Black meeting at Herne Hill track on 3rd of September, I can bring it down there for viewing or collection if it hasn't already been sold by then.
