OK, resetting the request for DJ's to the right thread (this one)...
Friday October 7th.
DJ's will be paid... or you can say no to money and I'll throw money behind the bar instead to get more people there earlier. Your choice (money in your pocket, or money behind bar to get more people there).
It's in Shoreditch, as part of the Bicycle Film Festival, one of the official parties.
Basically: LFGSS brings Bright Times to the BFF
10pm through to 2am. I'm thinking slots of 45 minutes as 30 minutes are too short to be good for the DJ. Initial slot it 1 hour to make it add up and because the first 30 minutes are always quieter.
10pm > 11pm
11pm > 11:45pm
11:45pm > 12:30am
12:30am > 1:15am
1:15am > 2am
I would prefer not to DJ simply because this isn't the style of music I play, it's the style of music I enjoy dancing to. I would much rather those with a good soul, funk and northern soul collection be the ones to DJ... basically, hello you lot.
I'll also be giving away LFGSS T-shirts to the first 100 people through the doors, mostly because I have a few designs I cannot sell (legally cannot sell).
I'll be advertising it through the mailing list (25k people), on the site (loads of people) and it will be advertised through the BFF promotions (tons of people).
Basically, when offered the chance to do something, I said yes, and just envisioned that bringing soul to the BFF would be what a LFGSS party looked like.
