  • I'm going cycing on Sunday and need a multi tool kit in case of emergencies. If anyone has a spare one and lives in preferably central London or somewhere that I'm able to get to- I'm in Clapham. As I've just spent so much money on building a bike so i dont have any extra cash to play with!

    thanks,

    Jordan

  • Good grief.

  • does that mean you have one to help me?

  • I'd say that's a no. People are funny about lending tools, me included.

Just throw a couple of allen keys, a tube and some tire levers in a plastic bag and stuff it in your jersey. When you get some cash buy one of these Mine has done me well through various breakdowns and is fairly light.

  • I took that "good grief" to refer to something else, and started looking - Jwaring87, are you going to post pictures of what you've managed to assemble for free from here? I'd love to see the freecycle ensemble!

  • I dont want it for free, just cheaper.

  • and I did pay more than enough to build the bike, generally no free parts.

  • a multi-tool should be the first thing a cyclist buys.
cheap enough and a essential piece of kit.

  • Happy to pay but would like a multi purpose tool kit- im going cycling on Sunday and im kinda tool less for my little expedition.

    I'm based in
Clapham so the closer you are the better.

    Thanks

  • buy one

  • Areed, theyre cheap as chips...

  • iv spent so much on making it im slightly broke now

  • was thinking if any1 has an extra they want rid of

  • go to Decathalon. theyre cheap.

  • HOW?!?!

    Its less than a beer

  • When you get the dosh I can whole heartedly reccommend this: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=7456

Done me well through mountain and road cycling :)

  • err, not sure where you buy your beer but dude, you're buying exspensive drafts! I've just seen them for £25 and more. but I'll check them out at Decathlon. Thanks Chainbreaker.

  • Happy belated birthday!

    Let's see the bike.

  • thanks! 1 sec let me find it. How did you know?

  • poundland and sports direct sell cheap mulititools

  • BRILLIANT, but reliability is essential. I'm cycling from rotterdam for 5 hours, ALONE. faancy coming? lol

  • its a cannondale SR400, would put a pick up but at work and dint have any on the comp.

  • so confused!?

  • BRILLIANT, but reliability is essential.

If you are riding for only 5 hours, i doubt you will actually use it.
so reliability shouldn't be high on the list, until you can afford a decent one

  • Go to Evans, and ask them if they can give you one of their (many) allen keys.

    Job done, cheapskate.
