I had an argument last week with the missus over that film, I refuse to pay to watch it.
Still do. Can't really see the appeal and I really like all the other remakes, and original.
This one looks shite imo, with all the cgi.

Then it's not obvious its a reboot of 'The Planet of the Apes' series. Forget the Mark Wahlberg remake from a few years ago, this is more on par with the original Charlton Heston movie.

i'm slightly ashamed to say that i've read clear and present danger and patriot games, the books are so much better. clear and present danger especially, it would actually make a good film if done properly.

Don't get me started on how they messed up the Jack Ryan series. Having said that the movies did turn out okay. Hunt for Red October was probably the most spot on, and my most favourite because of Connery.

Turning off a film you say. I did that with 'Monster', about the serial-killer Aileen Wuornos. Not even good enough fodder for midnight on Channel 5. The documentary was excellent though.
