most rear mechs are similar arrangement with the spring, you have to tension it then screw the bolt in a little bit (1 turn max) then twist the cage to about the correct position, then tighten the bolt.
Its ALWAYS the opposite way to what you first think.
I had a bash at a Suntour Cyclone rear mech, oh god, what a disaster, it had THE most complicated jockey cage I've ever come across and it was all beautifully seized together.
