  • I still think it's worth arguing to be honest, even if they say no whats to lose?

Also is there any postage stamp on it so you can see when it was sent?

  • I'm now with her doing the form - she'll have to say that I was the driver and send that off, then I'll get a NIP as well.

At this rate it will be March when I get the NIP for an offence on the 24th November...

  • What I don't understand is why it takes someone two months to change their details though ;p

Isn't that how long dvla takes to update their records? Think it says 'allow 6-8 weeks' on the slip

  • I ALWAYS argue tickets and tbh I get away with atleast half, there's still some from 2/3 years ago outstanding that I've never even heard back from
    Don't ask, you don't get

  • What are the tickets for Pistanator?

  • Parking, yellows, bus lanes etc, never been done speeding

  • It's always the ones you get sent through the post from CCTV that I seem to get away with

  • the ticket has to ARRIVE within 14 days if it's sent in the regular post. With all the snow, lots of people were getting away with tickets. If it didn't arrive within 14 days, a simple letter of reply "this didn't arrive within 14 days, and is as such null and void, please confirm by return" should do the trick.

If you're only concerned about the money, don't bother with a lawyer, they'll cost you far more than £60! Free internet "legal" "advice" FTW!

  • Last time I was done for speeding, few years ago mind, it so happened my licence was away for renewal. I told them and they said fine, should arrive before the 28 days I had to pay. It did, and I sent the paper copy away with the money and they sent it all back saying I had to send the plastic card too.
So I sent all that back and they sent it all back again as it was after the 28 days and I would be hearing from someone.
I never heard anything about it again.

  • Is there actually a way of getting off speeding.? Just been done for 81mph on the M80 in fucking bonny arse end of fucking nowhere backwardsville Scotland (cunts). 81?????? That wouldn't even register on the fucking M1

  • make sure you check that they have the location exactly right and that they send the ticket within 30 days of the offence
failing that get that famous lawyer who gets professional footballers of their tickets to represent you in court
he has a whole bag of tricks up his sleeve

  • bonny bastard Scotland my arse. ball baggery Scotland.

  • although that's a separate issue

  • How were you caught speeding? Was it a fixed camera, a police car, mobile trap?

  • You shouldn't have been cycling on a motorway but 81mph deserves respect. Were you motor paced?

What speed did you think you were doing?

  • it was a van on a bridge, cleverly placed just after a nice long sweeping bend on a downhill section, whilst driving a modern car on a sunny day with perfect visibility and an empty carriageway. cunts

  • What speed did you think you were doing?

    don't you start

  • at least at the speed awareness course this time you will get irn- bru and a pie,
whats that 9 points now? ;)

  • yeah, for the 3rd time. VR6 will have to go

  • NO! No sell VR6!

  • I miss mine. :(

  • yeah, for the 3rd time. VR6 will have to go

You need tommy the brick (renowned forum mathematician) to prepare your defence but, basically, they were not measuring your speed acurately as your apparant speed (which they would have been measuring) would have been greater than you true speed - it's all about triangles, ie the distance from your car to the camera would have been greater than the distance to the point on the road directly below the camera.

Armed with a suitable arguement like that you can push the police to into a corner where they have to admit the reading on the camera was inaccurate. An admission of inaccuracy would be sufficient to get the case slung out of court - Cliveo???

This could however be total BS....
