Damn, forgot to bring my passport in with me, I'll have to pop home at lunch and get it. And is it better to change money before or can you do it on the ferry?
Booked some money from the Post Office (they did no commission and an exchange rate of one English pound to one IOW dorrah). Picking it up after 2 today.
Not sure you will get that rate on the ferry but you should find a stale cold sausage roll and a ham sandwich with no ham.You don't need a passport if you have a photocard driving license as they have some special dispensation from Brussels. Failing that you can get a signed chit from any old lady with less than three teeth and you should be fine.
Although they ride on the same side don't forget to swap your brake levers over as they have the front brake on the left over there.
Looks like we have just missed the biggest event on the Island's calander though: http://www.garlic-festival.co.uk/ bugger.

Never understood the French, why do they need to send a man on a bicycle round to collect onions off people, and why employ someone so scared of vampires he has replaced his front light with garlic.

Have a fun ride guys, after riding round today I am gonna be drinking beer and playing darts at the Village Inn in Bembridge instead.
Watch out for some sketchy points with quite greasy roads and slippy horse shit, especially in the more tree covered sections.
