Unfortunately all cables can be snipped with the greatest of ease and are not recommended. If you want the best security – which is what this thread is about – use a D-lock to lock the front wheel and frame to the object and another D-lock to lock the rear wheel and frame to the object. This method will also help prevent damage to the bike as it'll be better secured and more sturdy.
