    It all because you didn't like paying the postage to sent the cranks back, that's what I'm getting from you two.

    That's all, nothing more, hell I didn't notice the hairline crack until you point it out in the second photo, so I somewhat doubt he's knowingly selling a defective product, and asking to send the crank first is not abnormal, even large companies does such thing.
