Katie-Coo, point them in the direction of the Locks That Work thread, on this forum. Or, just copy, paste and print the first post of that thread, and give it out. Its not a guarantee that their bikes will never be stolen, but it is a guarantee that thieves will want to steal other bikes before touching those locked with the locks in that list. Hope that helps.
Also, summer always brings on greater thieving of bikes.
