Is it just me or does there seem to be a bit of an upsurge in bike thefts? Im a cycle instructor and 3 of my trainees have had their bikes stolen in as many weeks, which I've never experienced before. And I had one nicked too- all 4 from Highbury/ Finsbury Park area. At least 3 if not all 4 of these thefts were from inside residential buildings.
I've encouraged all of my trainees to report their thefts to the police (thinking that accurate figures are important for the police to be able to prioiritise issues and know what's the state of play), don't really know what else we can do?
