I have a black raleigh record frame & forks 501 tubing. About 58cm frame. One of the dropouts is partially cracked. Would take only a minute to fix if you had welding equipment. About £10 if you paid someone to do it.

You can have the frame for £5ono

I have a SS rear wheel, steel rim 16mm, 120-ish OLN. Going into storage in a week's time so would need to know before then. £30.

  • Bought this on a bit of a whim and unfortunately to big for me. Would make a base for a great commuter or cheap and cheerful MTB tourer. Polo maybe?

Ridgeback Mountain sport tig-welded Chromoly, reasonably lightweight, great condition, no dents or dings, paint generally sound apart from some scuffing on the downtube. Looks barely used tbh. 19'' from centre BB to top of tt. Mounts for Headset and BB need a regrease. Can also throw in the seatpost, stem and set of V-brake calipers and levers for free if your interested.

    £15!

  • That deal blows mine out of the water.

  • Did you get them from halfords maypole? We struck gold but I think it was the KFC that provided us with all the chip boxes. Damned supermarkets with their zero waste policies...

Do you own a guitar? I have a guitar shaped carboard box too.

  • ^^^ Jeez Tom wish money wasn't tighter than tight atm or I'd have that off you sharpish for polo!

  • Yeah dfp that frame sounds perfect. Where/when can we meet?

Well itll prob be best if you come over to my 'yard in moseley.

  • Tom's frame deal looks nice. Seems to be minimal if any suspension correction, v-brakes. Could be polo-able for £100-200... Could be a bit of a handful in you're not tall though.

  • ^ it's pretty huge - tbh the whole bike didnt cost me much so I've kept the wheels and gears which were in excellent condition to transplant over to a smaller frame

  • If the 501 is brazed which i hope it is not for emms sake, they are a pig to repair. Tried To Tig Weld an old Poyner at work and the heat from the weld melted the brazed joints which was not exactly a win . Shame...nice old frame as well. May have a frame in the pipeline, old disused mtb that i got wind of tonight. Not sure on make/size etc just a disused shed find. Its looking like its getting cannibal treatment for another bike, Ill let you know. Freecycle also...I'll remind him tonight...

  • someone could have a bike for 40 quid here...with the odd bit bought..said dead frame (above) has zoom stem, marin lite bars with profiles, deore lx/dx groupset and other old gems. Retro bike in the making if you ask me....for around 60 notes. Told Dubmaster about the bits but his retro Kona was already finished.

  • This one?? :-))

  • Nice!, I always wanted an old skool kona steel framed bike, such fantastic looking bikes that still look good today.

  • yeah man like it!!!

  • digging the old school adonized purple shout..

  • I have put a new charge saddle on since i took this pic, And i have a 98 version i bought brand new in 1998 (Funnily Enough) Lurking in the garage, Just have to prize it back out of my mates hands after foolishly selling it to purchase some aluminium rubbish!!

  • gis a go mister!!

Think i might have an old azonic zero rise in my garage or lurking in the pool of bit boxes with friends...old school cnc stem. I'll get on that one..

  • Has anyone got an electronic drum machine for sale or swaps?

  • Loving the kona Dubs, radical! Get some matching grips though, they're letting the side down. I hope it's going to get some proper off-road use.

New van too? sweet rims! It's great that you've agreed to do an MTB road trip with squeaker and me. I'll meet you outside the pub as we arranged, yeah?

I have nearly new (used once or twice) Kona Jackshit pedals. They have very good studs on them.

    I have a 27.0 seatpost that I would swap for a decent 27.2

I probably have several 4 bolts chainrings in my box of wares, but its a pain to go look under a bunch of crap in my shed.
