'cale is gorgeous and at a ridiculous price.
Can't imagine why it's still not sold. -
• #3
The CAAD5 track frame = Capo frame
I had one and apart from the fork the geo and construction is identical to the current Capo.
-
• #4
The capo's alrigh, it's not like it's a langster :D
+1 on this being a barg. -
• #5
If they sold the polished alu Capo frame on it's own I'd have one in a heartbeart
-
• #6
Personally I like the Canon frame, I would imagine it to be an awesome track bike...
And yes I can vouch for Ruud's packaging and just his general conduct, top bloke.
Got some lovely stuff there fella.

Hi, does the Gazelle feature a Gazelle butterfly brake bridge?
-
• #8
very nice gazelle!!

Hi, does the Gazelle feature a Gazelle butterfly brake bridge?
Nearly impossible.
Butterfly bridges (top and bottom) were used till 1980 or so.
The Seat stay caps and seat post clamp with Gazelle logo are from late 1980s.
As mentioned, the frame is from around 1990. -

Cheers for the comments guys!
@Tel: cheers..:) I'm selling off the nice stuff, most of it, as said, because it is too nice for me.. That 'dale is too nice to wreck on the mean streets of Eindhoven.. Plus, I'm too scared of theft risk.. I do keep the DA 7710 stuff (wheels, crankset) that came of the 'dale for my future "sunday track bike", to be ridden on the earlier mentioned mean streets of Eindhoven.. On sundays..;) And the Campagnolo Record/Chorus 8sp stuff that came of the Gazelle for my Gazelle Exception..
@ Dutch Cheese and jpbt, indeed, no butterfly brake bridge.. Cool pantho though, on the "dice" of the bridge..About the 'dale.. I've had some interest via Flickr from a guy in Finland, I'm now researching the best shipping agent to get it there.. He sounded firm, but no money in the bank yet, so if interested, do give a shout.. No interest in the other stuff though.. As mentioned, the Gazelle really is in VVGC.. Also open for offers, so don't be shy.. And I'm also still baffled about how hard it is to shift that Campag wheel.. I've been told by several forummembers that the price is reasonable, but no serious interest up to now..

Well, it kind of has.. A stepbrother so to say.. It's the same rim, but then laced to a 28h Dura Ace 7500 rear hub.. Used a fair bit more, a scrape on the rim from a derailing chain which got caught between chainstay and rim, and some road grime still to clean off.. But I'm tempted to keep that one.. Unlace the used rim, which then will be laced a 28h campag 8sp hub, keeping me from ruing the nicest of them rims.. But I've yet to acquire that hub..Anyone, before I'll start a Wanted ad? The 24h rear of the Rigida DP18 set (also, Shimano freehub) I have has a little crack in it and has likely not so much life left.. If interested in the "pair", shout out, I'll get to photographing..
Rodolfo - i have PM'd you!
PM'd back..

-

..crankset is sold..
So no.. As is the rest.. Cheers everybody!
Okay, so after my awesome cyclotrip to France, for one; a new view on things, for two; a worse financial situation and for three; constant space issues, has prompted me to sell some of my bike stuff..
So I have for sale for you:
~~1) Old school polished 28h Rigida DP18's without machined braking surface (rare!) to front Campagnolo track and rear Dura Ace 7500 track (rare!), single threaded..
More pictures here (pair) and here (front only)..
Rear is used, front a very little bit.. Rear has some scratches from use and the largest from a chain coming off and being caught between chainstay and rim, but that is pictured in the gallery.. Included is a Surly lockring and a tube of Triomf polishing paste to keep them rims shiny! Threads good, rear is currently spaced at 126mm, I can of course remove the washers if the buyer pleases that..
**150 pounds **posted from the Netherlands, insured, signed for and with track and trace.. Paypal only..
SOLDSOLDSOLDSOLD, to Finland again.. :)
Dibs with commitment and PM.. PM's are priority, but please do dib in thread to give other people a headsup about what's going on with what.. Feel free to ask questions, I'll venture to answer them ASAP...
Thanks!
Oh, and I'd like to point you at my quest.. Part ex plus cash = discount!
Ruud
This down here is either sold or reserved, but I'll leave it for price reference..
1) 2002 Cannondale CAAD5 track f+f (seattube 490mm c-c, 540mm c-t, toptube 535mm c-c) + Ritchey headset + 85mm Cannondale stem + 46t 144BCD 3/32" Cannondale chainring, it even comes with owners manual and useless warranty card (only for first owner)(+ free generic saddle pin and ugly as sin gold Fi:zik saddle which is covered by the cover)
It virtually is immaculate.. Wheels have only been engaged on the trackend on one position, so still almost as new.. No rubs, scrapes bar one on the fork pictured here..
Frame is very very light and stiff, but very comfortable to ride.. Miles better then my Dolan Track Champion.. Tubes are effin' fat.. Have a look at the Flickr pics, the downtube beats my wrist hands down.. Welds are very nicely filled.. Rear triangle is really cool bent Gutted to sell this, but I guess it's just to nice for me..
Technical specs are all standard: 27.2mm seatpost, 100mm front, 120mm rear, British BBthreads, 1 1/8" fork.. Drilled front and back.. I have to note there seems to be little play on the fork/headset of a mm or so.. I didn't notice anything while riding it (brakeless, riding from where I bought it to the trainstation), but worth mentioning if intented to ride with a brake..
More pics here (go left)
seeing it's pretty immaculate state I was thinking:
275 pounds ONO plus 25 pounds shipping, carefully packed (ask Tel!;)) recorded and insured from the Netherlands.. (Paypal or Bank transfer)~~
SOLDSOLDSOLDSOLDSOLD to Jesse in Finland
*2) +- 1990 Gazelle Champion Mondial AA-Special f+f (seattube 540mm c-t, toptube 545mm c-c) made out of Reynolds 531C + Campagnolo BB (110mm)
* *
This one again is virtually immaculate.. Really vibrant semi sparkly red and white colors.. Cool through toptube routing.. Cinelli spoiler BB cluster, stamped 3327572, dated approxamitely 1990 with Five Nine Climber's Gazelle pages.. Pantho's everywhere; almost every lug, very cool seatcluster.. Fork ends Campag, rear ends stamped Gazelle.. Maybe Dutch Cheese knows about this difference, but they do look quality: maybe rebadged Campag?* *
It has been ridden, by and old guy who really took care of it.. Taped up whole parts to protect it.. Never even had seen rain, he told me..
Some damage on and near the dropouts, as to be aspected, and besides that only one scratch pictured here..
Again, pretty standard: 100mm front, 130mm rear, British threads throughout, 27.2mm seatpost..* *
again, seeing it's pretty immaculate state I was thinking:* *

~~ 4) Campagnolo 28h track hub to 28h silver oldschool Rigida DP18..
OG sales blurb:
"a) a front track wheel, 28h, clincher, used Campagnolo hub (nicely polished by moi), very very slightly used Rigida DP18 rim which shines like a mirror.. I purchased the rim NOS and polished it till my hands bled.. It's the older style no machined brake surface i.e. pretty rare variety.. Used it for two 2km rides, then decided it was a crime for me to use a brake on this beautiful puppy and switched wheels.. They're were some very light brake marks on the rim which I now have polished out.. Picture shows that.. Hub has some marks on it from being laced earlier, but polishing it made it look nice now.."
More pics here (scroooooooll to the left)..
[s]85 pounds posted.. Please buy this: if left unsold, I'll unlace it and lace it to a road hub for my roadbike, and I will be responsible to have ruined a very rare rim by braking on it..~~
I've decided to pair it with the Dura Ace 7500 rear wheel with same rim, I'll get photo's of that up ASAP
150 pounds posted [/s]
Worth noting though I'm away from tommorow morning up till monday early afternoon because of a festival, so will be handling PM's up to then and then after that..Best,
Ruud
