I know several people that I could put you in touch with if you would like.
My parents do this sort of thing and I think they could help.
Also there is a guy on my hockey team who has just started up his own business in this exact field.
Let me know and I will ask them and give you their contact details

Aye aye,
Not wishing to hijack; rather proffer my own services. I'm a professional photographer and have done web design since 1999. Last website I did was for a pal of mine, a fellow photog. He wanted something v. simple, something that showed off the work with the minimum of bells and whistles and could be easily updated. By him, I hasten to add, not me, thus negating the need to negotiate piles of code that may as well be kanji.
Have a wee deek at http://www.albieclark.com/steven/ for the aforementioned site (signing off this w/e), or http://www.thephotographerscollective.com for my own collective site. Or even http://www.albieclark.com if you fancy seeing my own images.
Business rant over. Drop us a line if anything takes your fancy. Oh, and I'm a reasonable man, price-wise.
Cheers,
Albie

Ah, that was Donaldson's School for the Deaf up here in sunny Edinburgh. Got the chance to shoot there for a day. It's got amazing history including some rather unpleasant stuff about suicides and Italian POWs. Now being slowly ruined by cops doing their riot training there and eventually developed into luxury flats, rather depressingly.
A few more shots here, http://www.flickr.com/photos/albie_clark/sets/72157623350446141/with/4373365861/ including a strange apparition (http://www.flickr.com/photos/albie_clark/4373365861/in/set-72157623350446141/). Don't believe in that shite normally, but there appears to be a figure top right, with a light and arrow pointing at it. Wooooo.

dont dabble in the design though but have portfolios of development work
Dear All,
My girlfriend is a photographer and needs a better website. She had planned to build it herself using here rudimentary Flash skills. She doesn’t want anything too complicated, just something clean and intuitive that showcases her photography effectively. She is also keen to get to grips with search engine optimisation and all that stuff.
However, it’s taking up too much of her time and is becoming a distraction, so she’s decided to just spend the money and have it done properly. BUT she doesn’t know where to start when it comes to deciding who to go with. Web designers necessarily have smart websites, so it’s difficult to get a feel for who is good and who is not so good.
Thoughts? Anyone here know of anyone who might be able to provide such a service?
