If your spending less than 400 £s on a full fixed ride, I'd really go for a conversion, if you want track specific steel, it's costs money.
A nice tight road frame can look just as good for half the price. :)

I agree, need to be uping the budget to around 400- 500 to get any sort of decent track frame

hey hey... it's deluxe..!
But yeah, you might get a niceish conversion for £200, but TBH you'd be lucky for that.
Find more money, I don't know your circumstances, but surely not that hard to get another £100?! £300 should get you a nice conversion that someones put a bit of care into.
Just think of it as an investment.
Or else buy the non deluxe sports direct bike for £120 and prepare to replace bits as they fall off...

£150 should get us a decent frame though?

Not a track frame, you'd be lucky. For a lugged track frame generally looking minimum of £200-250, if not more. Especially in bigger sizes as they go quickly. With your budget just get an old 120 spaced road frame with horizontal dropouts, there is no shame in a conversion and these frames can be picked up alot cheaper. Or keep an eye classifieds and wait for someone to part with their project, depends how much of a rush you're in really.

Got this Leader 725-TR frame for sale. It's got a 58cm seat tube (effective 57cm) and a 58cm top tube. It's got a few scratches from general wear and tear and it's still a nice colour. Comes with a FSA ZS-3 Orbit Threadless Headset.

I've got the bug and I'm after a decent fixed gear bike for about £200.
It must have track dropouts (Just think they look better) and ideally be a retro frame (if poss if modern looking components)
Not too much on ebay so thought I would see what you have.
Top tube must be 56-58.
£200 budget for complete bike or £100 for frame.
