  • Morning All,

    This is a weird one...

I have in the last few months snapped to cleat plates (SiDi MTB Reinforcement Plate)twice on my Sidis. I am not talking about the cleat itself but rather the plate that sits on the otherside of the sole that the screws screw into. (it has only happened on the one side both times)

It has strangely not snapped along the bridge of the sole between the screws but rather parallel to the cleat.

So now there is half that holds the cleat in place and half that wiggles around when i walk which is annoying.

I was wondering if others have done this? Is there more to it than just annoying, is it dangerous? Any idea why it keeps on happening?

Last time i bought a replacement i thought it was a little on the dear side from sidicafe and a pain in the ass to get and replace. But more importantly, this cant be common so there must be an underlying issue that i would like to correct.
