Did you find any toys to by Kirth?
Only the limited edition mission workshop bag. There's plenty of things I'd like, Camera lenses for example, but I'm not flush with a few grand to spend on them.
Mainly I end up buying loads of clothes, but I really don't need more clothes. Think I'll buy some new cycle shoes, but that's about it.

I do need new ski gear, but it's a little early in the year for stores to stock it :(

Hi.. I've been cycling for a while but I don't know anyone who shares this.. arcane hobby. I understand this is the place to meet people. What's the drill? I know the Roebuck and when Tuesdays are. Is this all I need to know?

doublefred yes we're there every Tuesday from 6ish til late, come along. you have to bring a sloopnag and i'd recommend one that's not too soft, but other than that yeah just turn up. we sit outside if it's dry and it's obvious who we are by the bike paraphenalia

I'll be sure to remember my sloopnag. I remember reading something about rides from Trafalgar Sq. Has this all been lost?

Wtf is a sloopnag? Even Google can't help.
Top night last night ladies and gents. Cheers

Haha - twas indeed. Spacing beers out with Lime & Soda's - WIN. Finally survived a late tuesday without major mishap.... still managed to burn the top of my mouth on molten pizza AGAIN though

I fried my mouth on hot pizza last night too.
Dropout...thought you'd like to see this photo of somebody riding back drunkenly from South Easts with two wheels on their back. Just in case you still think it is difficult :D
-
• #15191
how are they attached?
I've been doing a lot of riding around town with two wheels lately, I just carry them in my left hand alongside my leg or sort of over my shoulder, still hanging on with one hand though. they were in a big bag and feels like I'm about to take off going over bridges :/ would rather have both hands to steer... -

Cable tie (reusable one) to carrying strap on Ortleib with a luggage strap strapping them laterally around back of Orltieb. Belt and braces approach but very stable.

Just remembered that there were two wheels and two 25mm Gatorskins on my back in that photo. Kudos to JAMIE for steady iphone camera work while at speed!
-
• #15194
any rucksack with straps can do it. I've just got 2 straps going upwards on the top edge of my bag and I've managed to carry a whole bike + wheels on it.
-
• #15195
I rode tarck bike to work with two wheels and track drops clipped in to bag, no external strappage required. all of you with your bungee cords and whatnot - doing it wrong.
-
• #15196
dan - your ortlieb is a rucksack?
I only have shoulder/courier bags... well I think I only have one more cross-town journey with them, anyway. -

On the subject of wheels...
I don't want to ride my 50mm rims on the M25 ride on Saturday. I only have one set of road wheels that are low profile. Sadly, they need truing.
Would any of you lovely South Easties be able to true a couple of wheels for me on Friday afternoon/evening? I'm not back in London until after lunch.
-
• #15198
just ride your fifties. it'll be fine.
-
• #15199
dan - you're unemployed! true your own wheels!
or what 6pt said.
