LPC/LHBPA sub-forums

What is the LPC?

The LPC is the collective term for all of London's bike polo players. If you play polo in London, you're part of the LPC. The sub-forum provides somewhere for London players to chat about London things. There are some social things, some league related things and other stuff that doesn't fall within the LHBPA's remit. Any London bike polo player is welcomed with open arms, just follow the steps described below.

What is the LHBPA?

The London Hardcourt Bike Polo Association is the organised face of bike polo in London. It was established in 2009 with the aim of encouraging, supporting and and developing bike polo participation in London. The future of bike polo is in our hands and this is a great way to be involved. There are regular meetings which are supplemented by the sub-forum. Annual membership of the LHBPA currently costs £5. For this you are entitled to a number of member discounts and, most importantly, you are able to vote on the future of bike polo in our city.

Once you've requested membership, please either PM one of the mods, or post here. We don't check the queue very often, and don't receive any notifications when someone makes a request!

Ok, it's moved over. You should be able to see the LPC at the top of the polo forum (under the link to the league site) and the latest post over to the right.

All LONDON players need to request membership of the LPC usergroup.

The LPC forum will soon me LPC usergroup members only. The Social Group it used to rely on has now been deleted.

Once we have most people back on, we'll start doing polls in there.

I note the 'LONDON' in caps, but is this sub forum relevant for non-London input eg. any National Series discussions/developments within?

No, the LPC only contains London based discussions, anything on a more national level will be in forum 24

LPC = league talk and anything private that is not the LHBPA's remit.

We like to argue, vote and winge within the LPC and it's all London-centric.

I'm going to be visiting London the 19th through the 17th and want to get in on some polo action - who should I be in touch with? I ought to be staying near the Downham Road court, but it remains to be seen if I'll have access to a bike or not...and I'm guessing mallets will not pass through airport security.

Also, I was hoping to take some LHBPA t-shirts back with me...

Cool, thanks guys - correction, am here now and fly back to Montreal the 28th of August. I should be able to borrow a bike from the people I'm staying with, but all the bikes here have bullhorns and no interrupter brakes soooo...nonideal. I left my mallet at home...

Am hoping to play tomorrow and/or Sunday, will PM as soon as I can...

You could use the NE loaner? Someone would have to get it from mine though (I'm away until Monday).

Can people post on here when they've requested to join the LPC or LHBPA forums? Or PM a mod? I just saw one request that was two weeks old, and another one that was a week old. We don't mean to be dicks, we just don't check them very often.
