Sounds as though i'd probably be best off switching to ss for this ride. I've got two brakes anyway, so that would be fine.
My worry wasn't primarily the downhill - more getting up the uphill, which i guess depends on the route we take!
Hoping to be carnivalling on the bank holiday, but if scheduled on another date i'll keep the date free!
