  • no no no no! that can change the head tube angle...

  • if you push your finger in a bit more, wiggle around and you should find the g-spot.

Do not, I repeat, do not stick anything in the seat tube unless it's cool to do so.

  • Do the above pantographed lugs look genuine?

Might be a Concorde, built by Ciocc

  • the bars on this

  • That could be either Profile Airwings or Syntace Stratos.. But my money's on Airwings.. Syntace sweep back from the stem, Profile don't.. Can't tell from the pics.. Have them both, both really comfortable.. Syntace a bit more, but a lot harder to obtain (and more expensive)..

  • Still trying to find out what these are if anyone can help. Similar to those above but polished/silver

  • Can't you message the host of the pictures via Flickr? I'd say Nitto RB-021's, but they look to be oversize, and as far as I know, they're only produced in either 25.4 or 26.0..

Would I need a Flickr account for that? Pretty sure they're oversize which is what I want and yes the Nittos are 26.0

  • So possibly SL or SLX. Can you finger her seat tube from the bottom (bracket) and feel for light ridges? That'll indicate SLX (or possibly the later TSX though I can't remember the seatpost size).

I checked today and shoved my finger up her, no ridges, she felt pretty smooth. I took some better pics of the lugs to see if anyone can help.

  • Forgive my lack of posting prowess, but please have a look at this link and if anyone can ID the frame/tube type I'd be a happy man.

The bikes fairly ratty, but nice non the less and it fits well. I checked the lugs out (Capella Lugs) and it puts the bike between '58 and '66, possibly a Catalina or Continental??

I can't for the life of me find info on the quality of the tube. I'm after a project frame and I've been offered the complete bike for £75. Thoughts?

  • This is a Merckx Piste which I've bought (really happy with this one although the bars have to change directly when I get it), seems to the be same colours of the Teveblad road bikes, anyone has some more info?

  • Forgot the picture, how do you edit a post?

  • I have a strong feeling that this a Colner... cheers c_c

  • Would I need a Flickr account for that?

Yes, easy to do.. It even enables you to host photo's..:)

  • ....

  • Anyone know about the history of Dolan Cougar's? I just got one and after a briefish search of the net have come up with only a little info....I'll post a picture of it tommorow, cheers dudes!

  • Can anyone tell me what this is? Got it today but the previous owner had removed all decals to put on hi vis stickers, but the frame had a full Dura Ace 7400 chainset on so it's presumably 'alright'.
The only identifying features arethe mysterious 'col...' on the dropouts and the serial number on the BB. Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    Doug

  • looks nice, nice lugs and 531 tubing... and it could be anything!

  • It's definitely awesome!

On closer inspection (by scraping away a bit of the paint with a screwdriver) it turns out the dropouts are in fact Columbus.

It's a lovely frame, I'll probably sell it on because it's too big for me (60cm) but would love to know what it was. I presume, as well, that the previous owner painted it himself as well as getting rid of the decals, unless there's a frame manufacturer that does 'shit orange' colour options.
Also has braze ons for racks and is drilled for caliper and has braze ons for canti brakes.
    Mysterious...

  • Better picture of those lugs

  • Got lugs like that on my Roy Thame track frame, and my Graham Weigh stickered road bike...dont know if that is any help.

  • I think they're annoyingly common, I'll probably never know. Pretty though. I just have to decide whether I need a tourer or not..

  • Name/model of this saddle?

  • You didn't have a larger picture to hand, did you? I can barely make out the details in that one. :)
