RIP: polo bike

I stripped the paint from MVPique's pompino last week.
As well as the crack on one side of the uniseatstay, there is a 9mm crack on the other side (probably from the straightening procedure) and a crack on the top of one chainstay (where it was crimped when it got bent out of line) about 7mm long but gaping 1mm wide now the frame is straight again..

Once I get some filler wire I am gonna tig it up, can do the same for yours if you wish?
Might add some gussets too.

Max was talking about doing something with the stay, which I was keen for, but now I'm worried about the seat tube. Do you think it's repairable? I don't have the cash-monies for a new polo frame right now, so anything to keep it going for another month or so would be great.

Cut off the broken bit. Cut new slot. Move clamp down. (and/or get that double clamp we discussed http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=8213 for extra support) Come do it at my house if you want?

Worry is, I was looking at the height closely today and I think the crack drops too far down at the back. If I were to cut all the crack away, there wouldn't be room for a slot. I think.

So just looked again. The distance between the welds and the crack itself are less than the thickness of my current (single) clamp.

electric cream josh's pomp cracked in the same place and Lee just welded it up but its not being used for polo anymore just as a town bike so we will see how it holds up..

just had a quick look, piececake but can't find at mo, will do soon.
