I'm confuzzled. I was explaining, looking through the corner, not weight distribution...A bit of both. You conflated two different things, moving weight to the inside and moving the eye line to the corner exit. They are independent, and you can have the correct eye line even if, as illustrated above for MX, the body position is opposite that for road racing.

thank you for the explanation..

weight distribution. more weight lower down and over the front for a lower CoG.
that's why pro's are all rolling with 130-140 stems. they don't hold the hipster mantra of short stems and risers being "nippy in town" as gospel. -

Some really good things here for me to try, that about where your looking to go - I don't do that, I look at the Kerb getting closer and closer.
Same as the hands on the drops mine are on the hoods......
I'd love to start playing polo but don't live in London or Sheffield where the big scenes seem to be, infact I don't know anyone that even rides single speed/fixed :(
About the tyre pressures...... Tyres are 100-145 I think and I'm at 130 should I drop them down a touch? If so what to?
OMG just watched that volume bikes vid, that is awesome, I WILL corner like that :D
Thanks everyone for your help :D, I shall HTFU and see what's what ;)

Which tyres, and what do you weigh? Whatever the answer, they need to come down a bit, if you're light and on appropriate tyres, maybe a lot.

Vittorio rubinio's and I weigh 10 and a half stone/66kg

You need to add 30kg of lean muscle to your body so it's just like mine..
Rubinos are a bit shit (Rubino Pro are fine) and there's no way I'd run them at 130.. especially at your sickly weight.

Lightweight. I only use 90psi in my Diamantes for general road siding, and I'm 25kg heavier than you. Try 80psi and see how it feels.
Rated pressure on the side is the a: lowest pressue at which the tyre will work properly (i.e. not over heat) at maximum load and maximum speed and b: the highest pressure which won't blow off the rim in the worst case of tyre and rim size tolerance plus safety factor.

You're heavier than me, fatty.
I run 100psi give or take 10psi depending on conditions, ride/race, tyre choice.

I will drop them down a bit then and put my brave balls on :)

I weigh 60kg (30% lean muscle, modified maize starch, glucose syrup and mechanically recovered scotch egg).
I use 23mm Rubino Pros on my road bike. I like them at 95psi.

Perhaps I should try them lower*
*cool story

More grip, corner faster, beat rivals, take women, conquer earth.

I'm sold.
Next ride's Tuesday evening. Earth conquered by Wednesday, or a pinch flat.
can you powerslide those?
