Beginners Polo

When do we decide whether or not polo is on? If polo is not on I might go spinning tonight.

go anyway, play the 2 v 3 game (scorer swaps teams until there is a one person team left, or 5 goals have been scored by one team)

There's only 4 on the list now though. On a proper court I'd say do 2v2, but at Peckham you really need spare bodies around keeping an eye on the bags, especially when half the neighbourhood is wandering past looking for the bar.

Here's a story: That night that we didn't play polo two weeks ago, Stan and I didn't get the message in time and went to Peckham. He told me that when he left, I should take his wheel cover, because he wasn't going to bring it back to Poland. I said I didn't want to, because I'm not very good and I didn't want to have fancy looking gear (actually, I said, "I don't want to look like a poseur"). He laughed about it and we played around for an hour, then went home.

Yesterday I went to the free shop where I volunteer as a mechanic and saw the wheel covers with a note that said "For Tom." Thanks Polish guys, you're awesome.

Wheel discs are more about saving spokes and people's toes than posing. It's all good.
