If a player goes down in the box, a yellow card should be given. This will be to either the tackler or the player who goes down depending on whether they dived or not.
You can look at it so many ways, but Taylor (I think) didn't over commit to the challenge, Gervinho was looking for contact, which in the spirit of the game would suggest the player was trying to deceive the ref in order to get a free kick/penalty.
Whatever, I think Gervinho got a welcome to the EPL much like the welcome people get in this forum, I doubt he'll be diving again any time soon.
