How do you find the S900s? After some more modern levers myself and considering S500 / S900. Do they rattle if not connected to a brake?

Ed are those the Eastons that were on sale here for like 30? Looks better for sure...
No i managed to get those for my rat bike stealth antiporn build!

I'm sure they'd rattle like fuck, there's no return spring in the lever like Shimano SLR has. I'll find out soon, got some 900s waiting to fit to my track bike for road use. I already have 500s on my fixie skidder (2 brakes). If you like SRAM DoubleTap shifters, you'll like the S500/S900 brake levers, since they are just gutted shifters.

As prancer and sumo both found out, they do rattle like fuck, but prancer solved it by having both levers to work on the front brake, and sumo just tape it up, till I broke the tape in the DD.
I have the SRAM because I love the feel of the hood shape, if you like the hood shape, then go for it.
Despite the TRP being a mini v-brake, they work brilliantly with a road levers despite not being well modulated as a cantis, they're so much easier to set up and are incredibly powerful once you get used to the on-off feel.
Now time to add the TRP on the rear.

Yeah mine rattles but I quite like fiddling with it. Will tape it up eventually. Nice levers.

How?
-
• #49369
How you ask? how did he managed to connect both levers to the front brake? how does a single cable split in two that allowed such possibilities? how does it work without the presence of a mere garden magnet?
Why, I shall tell you, a cable doubler is just the ticket for you.
Tally-ho chap!
