Are the gears on the hub gear Sturmey? Just wondering what other hardware would be required.

Hi rodabod. It's shimano. I've had a pm from someone who is interested asking about hardware too. I think I may have everything that came off the bike still, the gripshift etc so I'll have a look when I get home in the morning and let you both know.

Shimano Nexus. Looks like I don't have the shifters etc - Just the wheels and the small cable that comes out of the hub.

I'm selling them for someone else. They are good quality skates, barely used - I don't believe they are worthless. I am freecycling a frame, and am about to freecycle a bike, and I don't know why you feel the need to comment if you aren't interested in them yourself.

Appologies didn't mean to spoil your sale, I'm a skater too and I design skates so I felt I needed to speak out. Sorry.

No problem, what sort of skates do you design? - I'm a skater too (roller hockey player), but these aren't mine. My friend bought them and they were too small and she just wants to get some of the money she paid back for them. I didn't think there'd be a lot of interest on here anyway, but as I was already posting stuff... I'll stick them n the serpentine road forum anyway.

Yeah stick them on serp road, much more potential takers, although I really don't think you can get this much.

If your knees bend inwards (or your ankles), your skates are too big :) Yeah the frame is a nice colour, if Geoff changes his mind you can have it. It's a 49cm reynolds 501 frame. Am just about to put a raleigh folding bike on the freecycle thread.
