i just got that new krytonite evo-7 which is still small enough to go in your back pocket but maybe an inch and half longer than the usual mini-d so you can get your front wheel as well AND it comes with a cable for double wheel lockage if needed.
maybe a bit more that you're looking for but it's not exactly expensive and why not be safe if you can be?
