• When I'm out on a bike ride on my own I'll call in at newsagents to get a drink or some food. In these instances I'm in and out of the shop in 1-2 mins max. I'm in the countryside and its pretty quiet.

I need a super lightweight lock for these times that I can stuff into a saddle bag. I don't need anything all that secure (as long as you can't cut it with scissors). Just something to stop an opportunist seeing an unlocked bike and riding off.

Obviously I know small and lightweight equals easy to break. I'm not thick.

Currently I'm carrying a small loop of chain and a padlock. Still really too heavy though. I've tried clipping my helmet through the wheel which works well but something stronger than this would be nice.

I used to have a cable lock about 2-3 times thicker than a brake cable which was perfect, but it broke.

Any recommendations? I've looked at liquorice locks but they're all too long. I only need a 20cm loop. Wheels are both on allen key skewers so can't be removed as quick as QR.
