Shit! WAC. Hope you got him to buy you a new helmet.
I got his name and number just in case. Helmet looks ok though no visible crack, not sure how to check it? Never smacked my head in the ground before, so never needed to check.
I saw him again on my commute in this morning, he didn't see me though. I noticed he was riding free wheel with one front brake... -

This is a spot from my GF in Morden about 8ish this morning (near the station I guess)...
anyone on here? or (more likely) did she just see someone in a green jersey and assume they were the same thing.
Could be me, I was wearing forum jersey and red (lcef) cap today and ride through mordor around 8am (live in Worcester park). I wouldn't call what I've got a beard so much as extended stubble...
Not me but I always thought I was the only
gay in the villageforumite in Morden. Wonder who it is?More passing through than in! Although one of the guys I know from the commute lives in morden (well 'Merton park'), Asian guy with condor fixed bike and rapha back pack?
If I find out I'll let you know.
I'm down there quite often too so keep an eye out for me. all black bike with red races on headset and red seatpost collar (until I can change them). typically killing something singlehandedly. headed in direction of tooley street
at the moment I'm riding either a red Carlton, frame way to small for me so massive stem and bullhorns or a charge steamer with a baby seat on the front with a wind shield for the child.
Oh I came here because I saw the ever smiling jimbilly and also a bee clinging onto a rider's t-shirt from oval to London bridge!

Asian guy with condor fixed bike and rapha back pack?
Has this feller got a green bike? Think I've seen him before
Anyway, MordorFGSS FTW!!!

yes! dubtap who heard my cry, brave shortly after who didn't, then a confused shoots struggling to recognise me from a distance at russell square. followed by a rarely-seen maxl and others in regents park. busy evening.
Wasn't sure at first, but then when I was and nodded, I got blanked. Figured this was a return from when I arrived at Dunwich. ; )

If it's a skate style lid it might be ok- I've no experience of those, but know that they can take a couple of knocks.
A standard road/MTB helmet however is beyond use after one hit.
There may be no visible damage, but they are designed to deform and absorb the impact force once and once only.
The last couple of times I have had to replace my lid I sent it back to Specialised as part of their crash replacement program (theoretically they cut the old helmet up and see how it performed in the crunch) and got my new helmet for half price.

Thank you for the advice, very much appreciated!
Hmm, so new helmet it is then. It's a standard road helmet, think it's a Kask, italian brand. Will look into if they do the same thing as Specialized, if they do it would make me very happy. If not, is it wrong to ask the guy who hit me to at least pay for half of it? Had it not been for him I wouldn't have crashed...? -
• #39888
Sounds like he is liable for it to me- as you say, he casued the crash.

Especially if he was riding illegally with one brake. Yesterday was particularly shambolic on hackney road, there was a prius minicab causing all sorts of havoc.
Saw a nice chap on a lovely purple bob jackson all along the euston road and pentonville, i was on the white dolan.

^ was me, nice to meet you. Tidy Dolan you have there.
The colour on the Bob is their standard Enamel Purple by the way. Looks best in the rain for some reason...
