So I'm Looking for a well built steel (not gaspipe steel) mountain bike to build up for touring. It will need to have eyelets both on the front and rear to secure racks into. Ideally there would also be threads on the seat stay and forks for the rack too but this isnt essential. It seems that only older mountain bike have these on.
No suspension
Really dont wanna spend much more than £40.
Not too fussy if the groupsets rusted or cheap or if the paints all scratched up. not even too concerned over the condition of the wheels. As long as its a good quality steel frame with eyelets front and rear i want it. Obviously if there are some decent bits on it for touring i'll be happy to pay extra.
