Hi all,
One of my current flatmates moved out at the start of the summer and I am looking to replace him. I am looking for someone to move into a double bedroom in my house. The available room is a nice double which is furnished. It looks out onto the garden so is lovely and quiet.
The house is mine, it is a Victorain terrace, and was fully refurbished before we moved in last year. I am 29, male, a secondary school teacher. I live with my girlfriend who is also a teacher, and another flatmate who is an economist. We’re all in full time employment, relatively tidy and quiet but do enjoy having people over for dinner, going out etc at the weekend. We cook a lot and everybody gets on well and there is a relaxed communal atmosphere in the house.
Estate agent bit: downstairs, there is a nice eat in kitchen (range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine etc etc), large lounge (with virgin tv) and dining area, conservatory, garden, downstairs toilet, large cellar to store junk. Upstairs are three double bedrooms and bathroom that due to a plumbing fuck up has recently been re fitted with an ace shower. We have wifi throughout the house.We also have a cleaner who comes twice a week who cleans communal areas. There is bike storage, a work stand, and a healthy selection of tools and bike crap at your disposal!
The house is on a nice quiet residential street and we get on well with the neighbours on both sides. It is a 5 min walk to the station. To get to/ from the station, you have to walk past a large Sainsbury's which is really convenient. New Cross Gate station has trains direct to London Bridge (5mins) and trains on the East London Line that (going north) connects to the tube at Canada Water and Whitechapel then onwards through Shoreditch to Dalston and Highbury. On my bike, it takes me just under 20 mins to cycle to the city.
