The Magistrates are going to be nailing the overtime on the back of this. Westminster, Camberwell and Highbury Magistrates Courts all set to stay open 24 hours to process the volume of rioters/looters.

?????
No amount of inner peace is going to stop other people stabbing you, robbing you, mugging you, or endangering loved-ones...
What you've said just doesn't make sense
Yep, inner peace is great stuff when you're in the park having a picnic, but less useful when some cunt with a 7 inch blade is trying to force your front door.

I think he's talking metaphysically innit?

and on the other hand we have firefighters who go out and help.
More should be don to prevent the fire (or at least its spreading) in the first place.
Before police deployed the armored trucks to move protesters/looters there was no way for fire engines to get to the scene.

NO amount of repage would be enough for this!

Sure, in a long term there's a need for a proper resolution, not just a punishment. What 6 months, year in jail and back on the street? Back to the same gloom?
On the other hand, police should do bit more than just stand there and look, to prevent scenes like this one:
In this instance it appears to be the cops that are there to catch her. Note riot helmets not Trumpton helmets. I suppose if they weren't there the scene would be different.

hahaha you took part in riots! The law of cause and effects strike again.
Perhaps of a slightly different nature. They were anti-goverment ones and didn't involve any damage to the private nor commercial property. No burglaries neither. Well, there was not much in shops at the time :-)

Of course not, but at least you're not going to act like an emotional wreck who either goes on looting or cries for revenge.

Revenge is good, it serves a purpose.

A guy here recounted this tale:
"Two guys were in Tesco raiding it and fighting over a breadstick. A breadstick! Don't they know that violence baguettes violence."
Made me laugh.
I'll get me coat.

He's pleaded guilty at a magistrates. The max sentence they can give is 6 months. If they're sending him to Crown Court, I can only assume they want to give him more than 6 months.
Max 10 years.. from what I've read, I suspect this will happen with all the caught rioters and looters as I said previously to make an example of them.
Where we put them is a completely different problem
I think the police's stand off tactics on the first night and then dominance when they were reinforced the following night is all down to budgets tbh
