I'm thankful that we live within a state that is restrained by due process of law, and proportionate response to criminality. It may prove uncomfortable at times like this, but I'd take it over living in Syria every day of the week.

There's a difference between authoritarian state and a just state. At the moment British sentencing isn't appropiate. Like I said, scum stab people and come out of jail before even family of the victim ends their grief.
