The thing that strikes me from watching all of this coverage, from everywhere, is that there don't seem to be very many 'rioters' in each individual area at all--perhaps just too spread out to tell?

that's the thing. these aren't rioters.
they don't have any direction or mutual cause.

they're assholes.
