the chinooks fly over london most days. there's a base not too far away in essex somewhere i think.... anyway, they fly up the river several times a week. i suppose you wouldn't necessarily notice them if you weren't right on the river because they're usually pretty low. i can always tell when they're coming because the windows in the office start to vibrate in time with the "wompwompwomp" of the rotors. i usually wheel my chair over and have a look. always impressive to see.
