  • I can see the helicopters from my office and I can see what they see.. pretty odd

    who watches the watchmen?

  • they seem top block protesters in when it's around parliament square
why don't they just bottle the protestors till they get bored and need some more heroin

A bunch of university students = not so threatening, so the cops are fine with kennelling them and giving them a few whacks for the heck of it.

A group of angry young men who are keen for a fight... Cops interested in close combat? Not so much.

  • Attacking fire engines and ambulances is possibly about as low as it gets

This kind of thing is pretty low as well:

  • Jordon is adding 'freelance reporter' to his CV right now

  • Depends on the crowd size and the percieved intent. If they're heading towards a definite target then you kettle them well away. If they are clearly just out to battle with the Police then it's dispersal unless the dynamic changes to one of iminent danger. Then it will go down to the decision of the commanding officers which could lead to anything up to armed units being deployed from within the force and in really shit situations, such as a gun battle, the army can be sent in for crowd control.

  • Who the fuck are community leaders?
The police are calling for them to work with the police.
I don't know who leads my community ...
oh i do it's velocio. Hope he's working with the police

  • Switch to Sky News, the BBC helicopter is refuelling

  • Exactly. What guff.

  • who lives closest to there

  • send in velocio

Cops outnumbered, and tactics will be informed by the murder of PC Keith Blakelock, pulled down & hacked to death by a mob, when he got isolated. Looks like they are trying to keep the mob away from the Narrow Way, which is where most of the shops are.

Just hope they don't smash up too much of Mare Street. Millions pounds of public funds recently spent doing it up.

  • nice little chinook convoy heading over putney right now.

no idea if its relevant, but they are nice 'copters.

  • Interesting parallel with the french 'banlieue' riots - buses getting attacked were a feature there too. Since when does public transport represent the evil face of the state?

Just pray they don't get one of the Hydrogen buses which operate out of a depot not too far away. Saying that, I doubt most of these cunts will understand how lethal that could be.

That was my point to a certain extent. I mean, I'm sure they could get the police officers there (they may be there already. I've been to enough protests to know that cops can appear at any time from anywhere). But the cops are not interested in engaging this mob in the same way they are with other groups of people. Obviously for pragmatic reasons, but it makes you question the actions taken in some of our more recent interactions between groups of police officers and protesters.

I also hope Mare St, like the rest of London, is okay.

  • Hackney's full of cunts, let them get on with it!

Zip it fucknut. You live in Islington, full of dogshit.
