Ace. No pace setting, I just told everyone that it would be 7mph and it might've been a little bit faster than that...
wools - that'd be ace, I'll try and sort the route tonight.
-
• #178
I can probably manage that! Ace! See you thursday, hopefully!

Have totally failed at route mapping, but will sort it out tomorrow AM. Though the first 25 miles of the BHF Southend route isn't very exciting. In fact it looks a lot like the beginning of my Round Romford route but more convoluted getting out of London. Hmm.

OK I have a hangover instead of a route but in case anyone was wondering re: weather, tonight is still happening - pretty sure it will have cleared up by then. And if not we (or I) will get wet.

Beautiful weather.
Well... at least it's stopped raining.
Poots, wools, still in? Anyone else? Route is out via Ilford again, probably Forest Road and around Weald Country Park, out towards Ingatestone then drop south to come back east of Romford and through Upminster towards Barking. Or something.

• #182
I'm out tonight I'm afraid. Got domestic shizzle to do. I might join y'all for the ride to Ilford but don't wait around or anything. If I see ya I see ya!
-
• #183
That's cool, it's raining again anyway so probably won't be the most fun afterworker. I ate loads of pizza at lunch though so will be dragging myself out to make up for it.

I'm out, sorry Rosie!

Fairweather cyclists :P
just kidding, no problem - hopefully see you all next week for better weather and less shambolic route planning.
-
• #186
Nowt to do the weather! :) If I'm organised enough I'll try getting a route together for round that way.
It's just brightened up outside.

I am feeling quite fairweather tonight. No essexinclination at all. I might go to wests instead and ride around in circles a bit to put the miles up. I have no resolve.
Or I might sit in the office posting crap on this thread all evening.
hmm

Tonight will be a Recovery Ride to Ingatestone whereby I ride my crabon hangover bike very slowly in an attempt to recovery from the weekend. Anyone is welcome to join me as always.
This is probably going to be the last one for a couple of weeks as Thursday is a bit close to the Exmouth Exodus, Monday I will be busy recovering in bed and then I need to move house. But they will return.

In. Usual place, usual time?
-
• #190
Ace - yep. See you then!
-
• #191
Oh FFS...just went to change the batteries in my lights for tonight to discover I haven't got a front light with me.
Really don't feel safe riding with out one so I'm back out again. I am cursed never to return to MNRC mad
On a slightly different/cross posting note, will swing by SE tomoz to get shorts, if that's ok?
-
• #192
aw. I broke my spare the other day or I'd lend you that. We can cut down to 40 miles to get you home before it's dark if you want? Up to you though, no problem to bring shorts to SEs.
-
• #193
i can lend you a small "see me" light, poots... but no good in country lanes after dark.
-
• #194
We definitely won't be on country lanes when it's properly dark. Unless anything goes horribly wrong.
-
• #195
poots, where are you today? I need to deliver something to damo on tottenham crt road for half 5, can swing by the brick lane meeting point on my way out of town to give you something bright and flashy (or non-flashy. it's got buttons and modes and stuff) if you can return it at SE's tomorrow.
-
• #196
What's your rough route this eve? Wouldn't mind meeting up but not sure if we'll be in the same area...
-
• #197
Something like this: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4599409

Thanks for light offers/change of routes offer 6pt but Le Smiff is dropping a light off to my office. Good service huh?
And if I'm out tonight I really do need go home and do some domestic shizz tomorrow night rather than get distracted by the boozer. Dull, but true.

• #199
What time do you think you'll be at point 10 / tube station by Fairlop Waters? I can ride down and meet you there.
-
• #200
That'd be ace, though I have no idea about time... maybe 6.45-6.50? Apparently they are shutting down Stratford because of riots which may hold us up slightly.
I'm up for Thursday too, if it's dry. Hope I can keep up with this new pace setting. Ahh, if not, will just peel off!
