I used
onea female specific Brooks for a few months.
Was very comfortable for my wide ischial protrusions.
Gave it to a lady. -

I've not tried the women's B68, but the Men's version is on the bike I ride the most.
Though I've sold it on, the B17S that I had was perfectly fine, and obviously a little lighter than the B17.
Give it a go, they're fairly easy to resell. -

thanks guys,
here is the link yeahnerdz: http://www.bikesyoulike.co.uk/product/2922/Brooks_B68_S_Ladies_Saddle
if there is only 1 of each colour I want the black one, still haven't ordered!
it doesn't say ladies anywhere does it on the packaging? it does just stand for 'short' doesn't it ;) -

Well I have ordered one, as it is a bargain! I will let you know how he gets on with it and whether he will ever guess its a girls saddle (he isn't really bike savvy!)

I would go for a B66 or B67 as they have springs. Comfier ride for sure. I don't know how much different from a normal saddle the B68 feels.

A lot different than a B17, that's for sure. An obviously wider platform, and a different profile too.

I rode one for a couple of weeks but my testicles shrank and I started watching Friends.

Mine just kind of shifted and Mighty Boosh suddenly made sense.

guess its totally up to the person, I've tried spesh & WTB womens saddles and found them great for me compared to the normal mens versions (and I am a man).
If its for sit up & beg/shopper bike, get springs. -

I agree with Brickman, it's definitely a personal thing. My hubby has a B68 on his bike and I think it's amazingly comfortable. I put the women's brooks on my bike though and found it horrendous! Two rides was the most I could manage (with lots of stopping and fiddling with the position!) before selling it on. In fairness though, my hubby's bike is quite sit up and beg whereas mine was a full on racer. Still, I wouldn't try one again!
I hope the OP's Dad is pleased with his though!

well it is sold out and wasn't on the site! so it looks like he is getting a mens saddle after all.
Its my dads 50th and I wanted to introduce him to a brooks a present. The B68 seemed a good option as he rides a sit up and beg hybrid and the quality seems really nice compared to the more conventional b17, which I could deem a little to 'sporty' for my dad.
Anyway I have seen the B68s on sale for £39! thats more than £20 off, I know it is a ladies saddle and it is shorter for women with skirts, but does it make much difference? my dad is quite a short dumpy man.
I will probs just go for the mens version, but If anyone has tried the womens I would love to know!
cheers
Mike
