I don't give a toss. He was a gang banger. Even his family said so.
That policeman should be treated in the same way those violent cunts are - not guilty until proven.
Exactly
The cunt shoots at Police, they shoot back and kill him. WTF do people expect, do they think it's accectable for worthless cunts to walk round with guns shooting at Police and whoever else. As much as I hate OB, they were doing their job
Live by the sword, die by the sword.
"Scum, subhuman scum"
Plus I've tickets for Tottenham v Everton next Saturday so they'd better clear the place up quick sharp

Word on the street is that he was shot in the back of the head while lying face down on the floor handcuffed.
AND his parents couldn't recognize him to identify the body because his head was blown off

Regarding the riots:
Useless, thick cunts.
Yeah, burn the bus that your gran goes down the shops on. That'll help get justice for your mate, who was probably a twat as well (jury's out - RIP).
These are just rowdy kids getting carried away and I hope they get hung out to dry.

That was the excuse, the police shooting, but the reasons for the riot were probably complex - many problems built up over time I'd guess.

The reasons for the riot were trouble for trouble's sake by the sounds of it. Certainly the looting – if not Tottenham, then Wood Green a few miles away – an excuse to smash and grab whilst the police are occupied with something else. The whole situation is absolutely horrible. Hundreds of lives ruined; businesses and homes up in smoke...Go on twitter and look at what some of the kids involved are saying – one girl said justice for Mark Duggan, followed by @'ing a friend who was looting in Wood Green to pick her up a hoodie.
I'm trying my best to not get too Daily Mail about this, and certainly leave the tin-foil hat in the cupboard at least until I have more (and more diverse and reliable) information...

They burned down Aldi, looted Currys and JD Sports and even McDonald's.
Those are the only places which employ thick lazy teenage twats in the first place.I overheard somegirls this morning who were travelling to Tottenham to loot shops for trainers and weave hair. wAC.

This all explains the US' eagerness (let's be honest, insistence) to have their credit rating downgraded.
?
Do you have any data/fancy graphics to support this assertion?

i wonder how many of those out last night giving the area a bad name were out in the tutition riots cause troble?
-
• #4169
They're pros. They were there alright.
Saddest thing was seeing kids as little a 9-10 pushing trolleys. Like I said, I hope whoever was caught will be treated as harsh as students were, but I bet some of those gang youngers will be let out without charges and with a voucher for a pair of trainers and a grime cd as long as they promise to keep out of trouble.

My wife's niece just told us, that she's unemployed. She worked for a mobile phone shop in Tottenham which was opened only two weeks ago. Now razed to the ground with all the stock stolen . iPads were very popular.

It was sarcasm, but I do still have a graph for you:
To the question: "will the downgrade of their debt status make dollars more or less desirable", my guess was 'less'.
You pointed out that: "A depreciated but stable currency in a higher interest environment could be considered more desirable."
I pointed to the US interest rate being very low (with some fuck off fancy graphics done on a computer)
To which you said: "The US cost of borrowing will increase due to the ratings downgrade."
At which point I said: (or asserted if you like) "This all explains the US' eagerness (let's be honest, insistence) to have their credit rating downgraded."
What that line indicates is confusion, the message I am getting from you isn't clear.

Balki (I think) is saying this: if interest paid on bonds goes up (the interest the US pays to borrow money, not the interest the fed sets), and the cost of the USD is low, and you have faith that the US government won't default (ultimately, if you have faith in the USD as a currency), you could see the USD become more desirable.
Maybe you got this already and there is something more subtle which you're trying to hash out.
I don't know what that means
