  • So motorbikes are not allowed to use ASLs then? They way they act in them just led me to believe they can.

I'm not one for whinging about traffic and such. But you would think they could be courteous to us with regards to this as we are even more vulnerable and they are there for a reason. I won't hold my breathe with regards to the Old Bill enforcing them

  • it was quiet ~7.45am

  • I am going in a bit later nowadays. 8.45ish.
    Maybe thats what it is

  • worst time Mike, get there before 8 and you get no po po, fewer cars, fewer cyclists etc etc

  • If scurgery can sort me out with a lock.. i would happily put a ghost bike up there in these unhappy circumstances

    RIP

Do you have something to donate?

I live close by, found one of these on the street abandoned a little while back.

No wheels, seat, and a few other parts missing.

Frame has a dent in it, was told it's alluminium so no good to ride around.

Don't think I'll have any use for it, so do you want it as a ghostbike?

  • Another death on Holloway Road this afternoon with a man killed on a bicycle who collided with a bus

    RIP

  • I went past the scene soon after it happened.

It occurred southbound on Holloway Road outside the McDonald's (corner Jackson Road). Bus 153 had stopped at the end of the bus lane about 2 meters from the curb. Bicycle looked intact but sadly cyclist appeared stuck underneath.

Pretty upsetting as I have ridden that route a few times. I think the bus lane ends for a little bit as the road narrows towards an intersection. It would be interesting to know what happened to avoid getting caught out.

    RIP

  • that is very sad. RIP.

  • OMG! I saw it today. I started my shift in local coffee shop just at 1pm. 10minutes past I heart heat... first cross my mind went thought that the car heat dog or cat.... I looked at my colleague, he didnt react.... I thought go back to work nothing happened but then I looked throw the door and I knew something happened when ambulance came... It was young boy on the bicycle tried to get away from the opening door of the car parked at the Holloway Road. Unfortunately on his right side bus was going and he went straight under the bus.... It is soo horrible he was death straight away.....
