Hi!
I've recently bought an OTP fixed gear/SS bike so thought I'd say hi. Just wondering if there is a dummy's guide to putting a bike together, or someone willing to teach a dummy (me!) how to put it together (It's going to arrive in bits shortly, and I've only ever bought bikes then I cycle away from the shop before)? If I learn how it all works then I can figure out what I want to change and do it myself. -

1) Google it
2) Use the forum search
3) Ask on in the Mechanics & Fixing section.Welcome!

Here is the first translation for you then. Fixie means dildo in the world of LFGSS. Enjoy riding it!

Hi, just droppin in to introduce myself.
Im in my twenties, i have been riding bikes since i was 5 and cant see it getting dull.
Recently i decided to get a road/track/fixed bike for the urban commute.Ive been throwing myself around on BMX and MTB bikes for years, now i live in the city it seems obvious to get something suitable. Im also interested in the fitness aspect, i don't compete these days so im not pushing myself, plus restless legs at night... its about time i went blasting about.
Anyway, i love bikes and im excited about getting something fast. The forum looks great by the way. I joined for the classifieds but the banter is alreet too.

Hi Gents,
Just few words to introduce myself. Paris based, in my (roaring) fifties. Happy (and proud) owner of a Bianchi Pista via Brera that I use to go to my office. User and member of the French site www.pignonfixe.com which shares a lot with lfgss.
May the Force be with you. -

Hi, short introduction:
I'm an ex-dutch now in Spain (hopefully this is still considered within the greater London-ish area).
After a lifetime of riding rusty hand-downs, I've decided it's time for a proper (road) bike for commuting and getting into longer rides.
Came to this site for all the great info and to keep an eye out for the classifieds; thanks! -

Hi, signed up partly to report a rider down in Lombard Road, Battersea this morning about 8.20am. Paramedics and ambulance were there, she was awake and moving so hopefully all OK

Hey everyone
I just joined the site yesterday after moving to London.
Looking forward to getting on a bike and exploring the city (just posted an ad in the wanted section for a complete bike, looking around the 58cm size)
Great site.
Cheers
